Is it good to always use speedlights to light the subject? I think we should find the right balance between using speedlights and the natural light. Most of us are highly impressed by the little flash units and the wide range of possibilities they provide. However, sometimes it’s worth to leave your speedlights in the bag and try to play with the available light. Mixed usage can be pleasure, as well.
This was the first time I used a reflector and I really enjoyed it. I admit that I overused my flashes and was blinded by the performance, the mobility and the wide variety of lighting setups. After the today’s photo session the conclusion is the following: I need a reflector. Too. :)
Our photo session was sabotaged by the weather yesterday, but today we called the girls again. :)
